Weed vegetation of agrophytocenoses in selected regions of the Czech Republic
Original language description
Observation of weed vegetation was carried out in two time-periods in the 1990s in selected regions of the Czech Republic. The research results show that weed communities of field crops are strongly weakened species (except field margins). Worse environmental conditions decreased the total number of weed species, mainly the number of thermophilous late summer annual weeds. Agrophytocenoses in different soil conditions show some characteristic species variations. The order of weeds has been arranged according to the mean weed infestation degree as a summary of all the observed crops on particular farms and research terms. Species which show the highest mean degree of weediness are Viola arvensis, Galium aparine, Stellaria media, Fallopia convolvulus, Chenopodium album, and Veronica polita.
