The impact of herbicides for winter oilseed rape on the soil biological parameters

  • Original language description

Malting barley [MB] is the best frequent replacement crop for winter oilseed rape [OSR] in the Czech Republic, but the herbicides with pre-emergence application to OSR / Butisan? Star (metazachlor+quinmerac), Command? 4 EC (clomazone), Devrinol 45 F (napropamide), Lasso? MTX (alachlor) and Treflan 48 EC (trifluralin)/ injure MB. This replacement was tested at experimental area of the Czech University of Agriculture at Červený Újezd near Prague in the years 2004-2006 on modal luvisol with conventional and reduce tillage. The topsoil status under OSR cultivar "Jesper" and MB cultivar "Prestige" was evaluated by five biological criteria (microbial biomass [MBC], arylsulfatase activity [ASA], 0.5 mol/L K2SO4 extractable carbon [CE], ratio MBC/Corg and ratio CE/MBC). Conventional tillage and herbicides Lasso? MTX (alachlor) & Command? 4 EC (clomazone) were for couple OSR-MB the best ones according biological criteria and also with the highest grain yield (5.4 tons per hectare [MB]; 4.3 tons
