    Altogether, 22 species of Scatopsidae have been found in Podyjí NP (= 48.9 % of the Czech fauna, 55 % of the Moravian fauna). Most species are European in general distribution (8 species, 36 %), while the others are temperate and North European (4 species, 18 %), West Palaearctic (3 species, 14 %), temperate European (2 species, 9 %), temperate and South European (2 species, 9 %) and Cosmopolitan (2 species, 9 %). The most frequent species in the target area were A. flavicollis and S. brevicornis, whichwere found in 10 samples and appear to be widespread in the area, followed by C. nigripenne and S. notata (8 localities), and R. nigra (6 localities). Two species found are included as vulnerable species in the Red list (HAENNI & BARTÁK 2005), viz, H. bullata and H. lucifuga.
