Original language description

Two species of the family Periscelididae have been collected in the area of Podyjí NP (= 66.7 % of the total Czech fauna of this family), one of them is recorded here for the first time from the Czech Republic. The members of this family were collected in five of the sampled localities; slightly more common species was P. annulata, found in four localities. Liščí skála and Fládnická chata hosted both species in sympatry. The European fauna of Periscelididae encompasses a very small number of rare species, so that even the occurrence of two species in Podyjí NP is an above-average record. Only one species (P. annulata) was collected in the Duchcov and Bílina environs (MÁCA & BARTÁK 2001) and in the Pálava BR the family has not been recorded at all.
