Charakteristika izolátů Phytophthora infestans v ČR v roce 2005.

  • Original language description

Late blight is a worldwide spread and economically important disease of potato and tomato crops. The causal agent Phytophthora infestans (Mont.) de Bary (1876) is able to reproduce by both asexual and sexual ways. This ability influences genetic diversity of pathogen populations, new developing races could complicate used plant protection methods. Collection of 186 isolates of P. infestans created in 2005 was used for determination of basic markers as mating types, resistance to metalaxyl and dimethomorph and haplotypes of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA). A1 and A2 mating types were determined by pairing of A1 and A2 testers and unknown isolate on medium in Petri dishes and by CAPs method. 114 isolates were determined as A1 mating type and 69 isolates as A2mating type. Resistance tests to systemic fungicides (metalaxyl, dimethomorph) were performed by in vitro test on agar completed by different concentrations of active substance. All tested isolates were sensitive to both used fungicide su
