Experimental study of chlorotoluron transport in different diagnostic horizons of three soil types

  • Original language description

Chlortoluron transport was studied in different diagnostic horizons of various soil types. Three undisturbed soil sampes were taken from Ap, Bt1 and Bt2 horizons of Haplic Luvisol. Two soil samples were taken from Ap and Ck horizons of Greyic Phaeozem. Two soil samples were taken from Ap and Bw of Haplic Cambisol. Chlorotoluron solution was applied on the top of the soil samples followed by two sequences of ponding infiltration performed in two days. Solute outflow and its concentration at the bottom were monitored in time. Soil samples were divided into 8 layers after the infiltration rate and herbicide mobility was observed in Bt1 horizon of Haplic Luvisol due to well developed prismatic structure. The lowest infiltration rate was measured in Bw horizon due o the poorly developed soil structere and no presence of gravitational pores. The lower infiltration rates and heribide mobilities were observed in humic horizons compare to that in subhorizons in Haplic Luvisol and Greyic Phaeoze
