The trend of the lats few years in chamomile is qualitative and quantitative characteristics of aktive substances, therefore quality of production is important. This experiment was conducted during 2005 ? 2007. The aim of this project was to compare commercial products - teas from Chamomile mainly tea quality (more than 30 different kinds of bio-teas and conventional teas) from Czech and another EU countries. Part of this test also evaluated quality teas as food supplements and teas as drugs. All teas were assigned to qualitative and quantitative characteristics of active substances by hydrodistillating method and gas chromatography. In the experiments of both type of teas bio and traditional at majority of teas, the content of essential oils was greater or equal to standard. There was no significant diference in between Czech bio teas and bio teas from abroad (Denmark, Italy, Austria, Germany) in content of essentials oil.
