Estimation of dryness and drought in the agrometeorologicak year 2005/2006 in the Czech Republic
Original language description
This paper presents the results of study on the estimation of agrometeorological conditions of dryness and drought in the 2005/2006 year in the Czech Republic. The evaluation of drought was based on 70 climatic-stations situated in various physical-geographical regions and different elevations, from mountain sites to medium-elevations and lowland sites. The agrometeorological year 2005/2006 noticed unevenly distribution of total rainfall as well as alternation in hottest and dry month with coldest and damp month, warm and damp month with hydrothermal normal month. The drought in the months October and November had negatively influence on winter crop in addition lower temperatures (ó=- 2,9°C ) and with low total precipitation (37% of normal) in January,to which the reduction of reserves of soil water had contributed. Occurrence of dry periods during the warm half of the year in May, June, July and September had an episodic character. The driest months which covered 70% from the Czech R
