Support of Agricultural Insurance in the Czech Republic

Original language description

Agricultural insurance is an important financial tool for elimination of damages in agricultural production. Since 1990 a strong decrease of it has been registered. This alarming situation has been realized by the State and since 2000 the farmers have been able to apply for support of a documented agricultural insurance purchased. The paper analyzes current situation in agricultural insurance, it follows the level of livestock insurance and farmland insurance including an international comparison and itoffers a possible system solution in future for the Czech Republic.
