In the two-year field trials the effect of row covering of early potatoes were investigated on total tuber yield and yield of ware potatoes. Experiments were performed at the Přerov nad Labem locality in the Czech Republic with Adora variety. Row covering with the textile positively influenced yield of ware potatoes during harvest 67 days after planting (in variant with the textile removed 25th days after planting was by 20.1 % higher compared to variant when the textile was removed 45th days after planting).
