Forest seed treatment with brassinosteroids to increase their germination under stress conditions
Original language description
The work investigated the effect of different concentrations of brassinosteroids (1:10, 1:100, 1:210) on germination of sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus L.) and ash (Fraxinus excelsior L.) in stress conditions. As a reference treatment was selected agent Lexin (a mixture of humic acid, fulvic and auxin) which support seed germination, too. The results show the most effective is the lowest concentration of brassinosteroids which gave nearly the same effect as the reference product Lexin. Data suggest the positive effect has also seed pretreatment of sycamore and ash in clean water both for germination and germination energy.
