Flocking and foraging behaviour of the Sumatran Laughingthrush Garrulax bicolor
Original language description
Sumatran laughingthrush Garrulax bicolor, endemic to Sumatra Island, is a poorly known representative of Indonesian avifauna. Only few field observations have been done till date and very little is known about its biology and ecology. Our note provides novel information about mixed-species flock formatting in natural conditions. Furthermore, we present here the details about foraging behaviour and frugivory in this species.
