Original language description
The endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) are group of contaminants that can interfere with hormones and impair hormone synthesis and whole body metabolism. One of the most known EDCs is bisphenol A (BPA) widely produced in the world. BPA is used in numerous products and applications, including polycarbonate plastic, the lining of metal food cans, some dental sealants and thermal receipt paper, food and water preparation and storage vessels, household products and many other uses.
