The red-eared slider (Trachemys scripta elegans) is a North American aquatic turtle that was introduced to many countries including the Czech Republic via the pet trade. Since this turtle is known to be a successful invader, it is banned in European Union. Here, we report the evidence of the red-eared slider occurence in the Radovesicka spoil heap, where population of endangered noble crayfish (Astacus astacus), can be threatened by this non-native predator
