PREDICTING THE SATURATED HYDRAULIC CONDUCTIVITY OF AGRICULTURAL SOIL BY PEDOTRANSFER FUNCTIONS OF DIFFERENT PRINCIPLE
Original language description
The purpose of this study is to evaluate functionality of three publicly available types of PTF based on different estimation principles and different levels of predictors. In total, ten models of PTF have been applied to the 56 data sets containing essential information of measured Ks value and necessary predictors. The ability of the PTF to reflect the variability of Ks of an agricultural field with relatively homogeneous particle size distribution has been evaluated by means of the correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, mean error and root mean square error (RMSE). The tested PTF were ranked according to the RMSE values; the best ranking (1) was attributed to the PTF with the smallest RMSE. All statistical evaluation was carried out for log-transformed Ks data
