Original language description
The present invention relates to a unique multichamber design of a nitrification reactor capable of processing, within a given agricultural biogas plant, the entire production of fugate, or a required part thereof. The fugate is produced in buildings of biogas plants equipped with a digestate separator. It represents the liquid fraction of the digestate, while during the separation it is formed together with the so-called separate, which is the solid fraction of the digestate. It has been shown that the treatment of fugate by the biological nitrification process can lead to the elimination of a number of problems, in particular to the prevention of nitrogen losses during the handling of fugate. Presented method of the operation of the system enables to minimize the time necessary to complete the start-up of the reactor. The nature of the start-up process is based on the unique dividing of the volume of the reactor into several strictly defined chambers characteristic by different volume.
