Quality of the lyzimetric water under grass and legumes stands on arable land
Original language description
A field plot trial (1 plot 3x10m) was established in 1996 on the experimental field of the Czech University of Agriculture in Prague. The stans were harvested four ways: cut 3 times with crop removed; cut once at the end of the growth period with the crop removed; mulched two times; mulched once.To measure the quality of ground water static field lysimeters were built at a depth 0.5m under undamaged soil profiles of each of the variants. Lysimeter water samples were taken at 2 times-the beginning (March-April) and at the end (October-November) of the growth period. Between the mulched variants, when the growth the twice mulched growth shows about 25,83% higher leaching of NO3-N then the growth of the once mulched. There were no changes between the oneand three times cutting systems.
