Original language description

Alfalfa (Medicxago sativa L.) was sown into pots (soil with different compaction). Alginate preparations S-90 and Micro- mist were used for seed treatment or leaves spraing. Lenght and thickness of stems, number of leaves, branches and stems per 1 plantweight of 1 stem were measured. The effect of alginate preparations was more signifficant in summer sowing and on the variants with more compacted soil. Seed treatment increased the lenght of stems, thickness of stems and number of leaves. The effect o foliar spraying was not proved.
