Original language description

An influence of grass kernels treatment by the seaweed extract Bio-algen S-90 on germination was researched in 3 pot trials. Agrostis tenuis Sibth., Poa pratensis L, Festuca rubra L. and Lolium perene L. were used. The kernels of Agrostis tenuis treatedby the preparation with 25 % concentration germinated in average by 4 days earlier than nontreated ones. The kernels treating by the preparation with higher concentration (50 and 100 %) caused slower germinating of Poa pratensis and its germinating capacity was decreased by 11 %. The germination capacity of Lolium perene and Festuca rubra was not significantly influenced.
