Nowadays induction motors fed from voltage-source GTO inverters are commonly used for traction drives. Paper presents mathematical model for the analytical analysis of a three-level space vector PWM inverter fed induction motor drive. The mathematical model uses mixed description in the p and z domains. Both the steady-state and transient response of the motor currents and electromagnetic torque in a closed-form is derived.
