    The paper proporses method of starting a 3-phase induction machine under single phasing condition. It is shown that both in sinusoidal supply and inverter ones the motor can develop starting torque, if one phase is connecting with neutral point of source(sinusoidal or DC one). The phase voltage arises has two componnents. First one has the same sequence as it normal supply, by lowered. Second voltage componnent arises only in phases that are connected with neutral point. These voltages componnents havethe same amplitude and phase but they have an opposite sing.
