    Dependence of conditioner energy consumption on mass flow throughput

  • Original language description

    The objective of this research was to apply the principles of yield mapping to mowing machines equipped with conditioners, as they are commonly used for harvesting grass, clover, lucerne, and other forage plants. The method of yield mapping was based onthe conditioner energy consumption measurement. Mowing machine was equipped with an electronic measuring unit for the purpose of our measurements. Signals from a DGPS receiver about the mowing machine position and signals from torque and PTO optical sensors were recorded.
