  • Original language description

The soil working in agriculture belongs to basic agrotechnical operations. It is performed to loosen, lift, mix up and move the soil, to uproot weeds and to plough in fertilizers and plant residues. For these purposes mainly ploughs, tillers and cultivators are used. Working tools of these machines are exposed to abrasion intensively, which is undesirable in general. There are similar situations for many other machines including non-agricultural machinery. The abrasive wear of working tools generally worsens technical and economical parameters of machines. Slowing the working tools wearing process is thus important potential source of cost economies. The ways, how to retard the wear, are searched in the principles of working tools operation, machines construction, selection and heat treatment of used materials and selection of working tools? shape. This paper summarizes the knowledge and experiences with selection of the working tool materials and deals with relation of working tool sh
