MANAGEMENT OF RESEARCH DATA
Original language description
Working on a large-scale research task necessitates putting to use a custom-made database in order to store and pre-process measurement data and other findings. Due to the database with its tables, forms, queries and reports, mutual data cohesion is assured, potential error occurrence is reduced and filling in of new data is quickened. When employing the database, the retrieval of data requested for statistical analysis from various points of view, and for evaluation of relations among variables, is simple, fast and flexible. For a final analysis of pre-processed data, researchers can benefit from statistical software that enables to automate tasks. A possible solution of this issue is shown in this paper with an example of a relation database (MS Access) designed for the field trials focused on various technologies of stand establishment and growing of major production crops, and with an example of automated statistical analysis (STATISTICA 7.0) of data provided by the above mentioned
