By the method of analysis of the soil surface photograph picture was evaluated the machines work quality at the soil-conservation cultivation and seeding. The suitability of this method was confirmed for evaluation of the soil surface covering by the crop remainders and site heterogeneity of the soil covering on large plots. Remaining of the crop remainders on the soil surface is significant for the soil resistance increasing against water erosion.
