With the acceptance of new EU legislation and its application on the Czech Republic legislation the municipalities will have to develop programs that will help to implement the targets given by this legislation. A decrease of landfill disposal and an increase of waste exploitation are one of the targets of the Czech Republic waste law. One of the subprocesses in this program is an implementation of the system for biowaste handling. Aim of this paper is to show on chosen municipality a methodic guide fordesign and implementation of the possible system for biowaste handling. Application of this system will differ according to the municipality size, the way of current waste handling and according to the future possibilities. The integrated part of the implementation biowaste handling is an economic analysys of the proposed system.
