Merits of taking wood pellets when compared to traditional fuels are described in the work. Using wood pellets means contributing to the preservation of the natural environment. Wood pellets have lower price per energy unit (21.11 zł/GJ) than compressednatural gas (CNG) (29.14 zł/GJ) and Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) (67.13 zł/GJ). The production of wood pellets enables to reclaim wood waste.
