The paper is part of the project QD 60079 ? ?Research on the production of bio-fuel from waste animal fats?. In 2006 the first two partial stages were worked on: 1) Summarization of the available animal fats for the use in bio-fuel production and economical evaluation of the process ? summary of available materials, their types and amount and economical parameters of the use of fats as material for transesterification. 2) Study of acidic catalyzed transesterification of model animal fats ? evaluation ofthe basic progress and kinetics.
