This short paper describes main properties and limitations of digital X-ray detectors (mainly) from point of wiev of users. The properties of the detectors are compared with properties of conventional radiography on flat film that is largely used till. Discussed are contrast, spatial resolution and noise of the electronics roentgenograms made by scintillation detector mainly vs. properties of roentgenograms made by conventionally on film. This contribution is focused on better practice for making electronic roentgenograms.
