MICROSTRUCTURE CHANGE IN THE HAZ AT LOW CARBON STEEL DEPOSIT REPEATED SURFACING

  • Original language description

With of the worn out surface the changes of microstructure in the HAZ occurs. According to overlay materials and substrate the elements diffuse from the overlay in the substrate. In so doing the structure in the suboverlay zone HAZ changes. This change is very significant at the use of low carbon substrate and the deposit of high alloys and carbon content or vice-versa of low carbon stainless steel. For the microstructure changes determining the low carbon steel S235JR as substrate and overlay materialcontaining 0.8 %C, 8 %W and 2 %Cr was used.
