    The work quality of tillers machine at the soil-conservation technologies was evaluated by the method of image analysis. The suitability of this method was confirmed for evaluation of the soil surface covering by the crop remainders and site heterogeneity of the soil covering on large plots. Remaining of the crop residues on the soil surface is important for the soil resistance increasing against water erosion. Generally low values of soil surface coverage by crop residues after cultural operations wereperformed document that soil tillage and sowing did not comply with the criteria for conservation technologies ? the coverage of soil surface by crop residues was lower by 30% after all cultural operations. Soil surface covering was evaluated after soiltillage with three cultivators. Soil tillage depth, working speed and angle of coltivators of disc tiller were set up. Were evaluated the statistical significance of soil surface covering rate differences after operations of soil tillage
