First tests with segmented capacitive throughput sensor
Original language description
Capacitive sensor technique might be good alternative for instantaneous wet materials throughput measurement. That is why a new segmented parallel plate capacitive sensor was designed for laboratory tests. First measurements with new sensor were done under laboratory conditions. Mathematic model of sensor function based on fine element method was created. The sensitivity of the sensor on dielectric location was proved. The curves of measured values with the curves derived from sensor mathematic model were compared. The similarity of the peaks was found but also disharmony between decreasing rates. Tests showed the potential of new sensor for image reconstruction and consequently instantaneous wet material throughput measurement.
