EVALUATION OF INTERAXLE CARRIER AND DESIGN OF MECHANICAL PRUNER FOR LOW TRELLIS SYSTEM
Original language description
Mechanical pruner (similar to special sprinkler for chemical hop pruning) is used for spring pruning of new hop shoots. Right timing and quality of hop pruning determine following yield. That is why pruning is one of the most important agrotechnical operations. Double disc mechanical pruner used for high trellises is inapplicable for low trellis system technology. Special sprinklers for chemical pruning applied abroad are not suitable considering the effort to minimize the chemical burden in the environment. For this reason we approached the design for mechanical pruner intended for works on low trellis systems. The article analyzes ways of placing mechanical pruner on tractor, and evaluates used device carrier. Further on the article mentions a designof mechanical pruner set with gear case. The conclusion presents a recommendation for further research.
