Self powered solar tracker for Low Concentration PV (LCPV) systems
Original language description
A design and performance of a new self powered LCPV solar trackers using bifacial solar cells and a concentrating mirror is described in the report. This design does not need additional power supply nor cables and so it is cheaper than classical PV power plants with many cables. The power supply bifacial PV panels are simultaneously used as sun sensors. The new tracker design with bifacial solar cells was successfully used at big MW range PV power plants. The very simple self powered tracker with concentrating mirror was successfully tested at Low Concentration PV (LCPV) systems. The tracking accuracy is less than ±1 angular degree.
