Pressure Distribution Measurement in Knee Arthoplasty
Original language description
The paper describes and evaluates the measurement procedure of pressure distribution in knee arthoplasty, which represents an artificial replacement of a human knee joint. First we briefly present the knee arthoplasty and its composition. Further we describe in detail the measurement procedure, i.e. the measuring machine, which simulates a human step cycle, and the layout and type of used sensors. Finally, we compare the measured pressure distribution data with those from a mathematical model to evaluate the accuracy of the model and we also check any unpredictable pressure deviations in the joint replacement.
