Analysis of physical-mechanical properties of pelleted chicken litter organic fertilizer
Original language description
Pelleted fertilizer production represents improvements in fertilizers management and ensures several benefits as more accurate dosing (less applications), long lasting nutrients slow release, application during whole year, easier storage and transportation and better separation of fertilizers and pesticides. Present research investigated physical mechanical properties of pelleted chicken litter organic fertilizer. Pellet samples particle density (kg/m3), mechanical durability (%), compressive strengths in cleft (N/mm) and compressive strengths in simple pressure (MPa) were investigated. Last two indicators demonstrated resistance of pellets to compressive stress. Result values proved particle density = 1,289,73 kg/m3, mechanical durability = 95,5%, compressive strengths in cleft = 58,61 N/mm and compressive strengths in simple pressure = 20,02 MPa, while all results were evaluated positively. Observed level of mechanical durability (%) did not achieved mandatory level for commercial production of pel
