This report presents an evaluation of the corrosion behaviour of three sets of magnesium (Mg) anodes (Sets 1–3) supplied by VAV Elektronic, s.r.o. The corrosion performance was assessed using a combination of electrochemical methods—specifically potentiodynamic polarisation (Tafel analysis)—and gravimetric mass-loss measurements in a 3 wt.% NaCl solution at laboratory temperature. The electrochemical tests enabled determination of corrosion rates, corrosion currents, current densities, and polarisation resistance for individual samples. The obtained values are consistent with the typical corrosion behaviour of magnesium in chloride-containing environments and do not indicate statistically significant differences among the tested anode sets. Gravimetric measurements performed after exposure periods of 24 and 168 hours revealed no measurable mass loss for any of the samples. Based on the results of both analytical approaches, no clear distinction between the best or worst corrosion performance among the three anode sets could be established, as all samples exhibited comparable and stable corrosion characteristics.
