    Altogether 307 species from 35 families were found during a survey of beetles (Coleoptera) in the Litovelské Pomoraví Protected Landscape Area in 2006. Four of them are protected by law in the Czech Republic (Brachinus explodens Duftschmid, Calosoma inquisitor (L.), Carabus scheidleri scheidleri Panzer, and C. ullrichi ullrichi Germar; all Carabidae) and additional 15 are included in the Red list of threatened species of the Czech Republic. The following interesting rare species were also recorded: Leptura annularis Fabricius, 1801 (Cerambycidae), and Paratachys fulvicollis (Dejean, 1831) (Carabidae).
