Original language description
The survey was based on forests visitors face to face interviews, random sample. Tree planting and protection considered as the most important forest operations, followed by road and stream bank maintenance, while timber transport and harvesting considered as the least important activities. The nature-protection considered as the most important forest function, followed by soil-conservation, climatic, hydrological and health (recreational) functions, while timber and non-timber production considered asthe least important functions. 20% of respondents claimed increased costs for non-market forest functions improvement were partially or fully financed from timber sales revenues, only 6.5% said the costs should be partially or fully financed from payments by the users (visitors).
