The use of harvester technology in production forests
Original language description
The introduction of the monograph deals with technical description of machines (chapter 2) and provides the analysis of technological techniques of the production process (chapter 3) for which the work performance analysis is carried out. It also outlines possibilities of field deployment of the machinery in the Czech Republic (chapter 4) and analyses the workload of harvester and forwarder operators (chapter 6). The primary aim of the monograph was to conduct an analysis of the machines? performance inrelation to their performance class, species of the logged trees, the mean log volume and possibly also the relevant forwarding distance, and to allow the possibility of percentage adjustment of performance standards with respect to common production conditions and technological processes (Chapter 5).
