    Anthaxia (Haplanthaxia) vlasta sp. nov. from southern part of the Ethiopian Region (Malawi, Republic of South Africa, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe) is described and illustrated. Its isolated position among the Ethiopian species-groups is shortly discussed.
