Discussed are three occurrences of caterpillar hunters of the genus Calosoma Weber 1801, two of them representing new country records: C. inquisitor (Linnaeus 1758) in Afghanistan, C. scabrosum Chaudoir 1843 in Yemen and C. oberthuri Vuillet 1910 in Angola. The specimens were discovered in holdings of the National Museum, Prague, and in recently made collections
