Analyses of durability of coating systems on Termowood using accelerated artificial weathering
Original language description
Thirteen coating systems on Thermowood were tested for 12 and 18 weeks using artificial accelerated weathering in laboratory conditions. Artificial weathering was conducted in a UV-chamber QUV (Q-Lab, Cleveland, OH, USA) on the basis of modified EN 927-6. Temperature cycles were added each week of testing. Colour, gloss, surface wetting changes and microscopic and visual evaluation were done. The most durable coatings and coatings with the worst results were selected on the base of complex evaluation of measured properties.
