    Multilayer coating system for wood comprising at least one primer layer and at least one glazing layer, wherein the primer layer and the glazing layer are formed by an acrylate water-borne coating based on polymers of acrylic and/or methacrylic acid esters, characterized in that the primer layer comprises dispersed ZnO nanoparticles in range from 1.0 to 5.0% (w/w), and that multilayer coating system further comprises a porous middle layer formed by a polyamide nanofibrous nonwoven fabric arranged between the primer layer and the glazing layer so that surface and/or subsurface regions of the primer layer and the middle layer are interpenetrated in at least part of their volume, wherein in this interpenetrated region the porous middle layer is saturated by the primer layer and that the total thickness of the multilayer coating system is in the range of 80 to 140 µm.
