Thermal properties of highly porous wood-based insulation material
Original language description
This study is focuses on evaluating the thermal insulation properties of a new highly porous insulation material made from a foamed wood mixture. A key aspect is the use of wood fibres sourced from wood waste, aligning with the goal of promoting environmentally friendly materials. The main objective is to accurately determine important thermal parameters like the coefficient of thermal conductivity (?) and thermal resistance coefficient, specific parameters characterizing thermal insulation properties of new material. Results are meticulously analysed and presented graphically for clarity. The research also emphasizes sustainability by incorporating wood waste into the material synthesis process, addressing environmental concerns and promoting resource efficiency. To assess the new material, it is compared with commercially available thermal insulation materials, providing insights into its performance compared to industry standards. By enhancing our understanding of its thermal performance and comparing it with existing options, this research contributes valuable insights to the discourse on sustainable and efficient insulation materials.
