Original language description
The main aims of this study are to determine whether wind turbines are perceived differently in different types of landscape, whether the distance between the person and the turbines plays a significant role, and whether the number of wind turbines situated in a landscape is important. The questionnaires analyzed until now show that there is no statistical dependency between the number of wind turbines and their visual impact on the landscape. This study indicates that the distance of the observer fromthe turbines is most distinct in the first distance category (1.5 km), which corresponds to the zone of strong visibility, where the structure is the most dominant feature. Statistical independency between the evaluation and the distance was displayed only between the first distance and the third distance category.
