Enrichment gradients in WCA-2A and northern WCA-3A: water, soil, plant biomass, and nutrient storage response
Original language description
Runoff from agricultural areas in the north Everglades cause increase in phosphorus sediment concentrations. As a consequence the natural vegetaton is replaced by invasive species, namely cattail. Incresed phosphorus water and sediment concentrations gradually decrease along 6-8 km gradient. A marked zonation of vegetation is clearly seen along this phosphorus gradient.
