Landscape character assessment at the regional level
Original language description
Landscape character assessment is an important tool for protection of cultural landscapes and implementation of the European Landscape Convention. Being processed at different levels, the assessment follows specific details, depending on its objectives and considering the specifics of the assessed areas. Procedure for preventive landscape character assessment on a regional scale is documented by the Study of landscape character assessment with the town of Trinec, municipality with extended powers, (Vorel et al. 2008), aimed at preventive evaluation in terms of protection of the landscape - which has been carried out at three levels ? and data acquisition for analysis of the local area. The presented study solves a specific task as a pattern and uses acertain kind of methodology applicable to most regions.
