Original language description
The paper deals with reconstruction of the historical land use area which is today the territory of fifty historical cadastral areas disturbed by surface mining. For comparison of statistical and GIS data, 3 cadastral areas were determined. The paper describes the use of landscape at the time of stable cadastre from half of the 19th Century (1841 - 1842). The work is based on the use of stable cadastre maps as well as statistical data on the structure of the landscape. The results of the reconstructionof historical land use processed in GIS are compared with the results of the statistical values on land use. These data are the basis for the evaluation of historic landscape and its ecological functions and for the ecological interpretation of map data.Results of the work will be used as the basis for the Sokolovsko brown coal basin reclamation.
