The conservation of exceptionally significant trees in the Czech republic is defined by special statute ?Monumental tree?, which is specified by Law of nature and landscape protection. It?s also defined as a public interest by law. In past, there have been several attempts to map ancient trees in the Czech republic. However, this has not yet been implemented in order, to comprehensively and consistently address the whole of the Czech republic. The aim of this partial study is valuating of ancient treesfrom landscape value point of view. It is a step for design easily applicable procedure for mapping and valuating of ancient trees with. The output is to serve as a basis for further data processing in order to ensure the protection of selected ancient trees.
